About us

Zambesiaka Stud is a family owned and run Arabian Horse stud. We are based in Bronkhorstspruit, on the border between Gauteng and Mpumalanga.

 

Frits and Salome Hoogendijk have a history of stud farming, but a passion for Arabian horses made that the focus of the farm. 

 

Daughter, Denise, is one of the premier riders for the stud. Denise is an avid equestrian athlete, with a special interest in dressage. 

Son, Paul, has a lot of opinions on everthing, and he believes he will be instrumental in the de-extinction of several prehistoric mammals.

 

 

 

 

Zambesiaka has an in-house trainer for the groundwork and in-hand showing, mr Shedrack Mthembu. His love for the farm and the horses makes him an irreplaceable asset.

Other trainers and riders are incorporated in the stud, and Zambesiaka is known for discovering hidden talent. Trainers Hendrik Swart and Mariëtte Speek are also riders who frequently show Zambesiaka's Horses.
